R/V Sealth Participates in Special People's Holiday Cruise
December 13, 2010
The R/V Sealth was one of more than 400 vessels that participated in the 2010 Seafair Special People's Holiday Cruise that took place on Sunday, December 5. Global Seas volunteered the vessel for the 38th annual holiday cruise that treated more than 2,000 developmentally disabled guests to a lighted boat parade on Lake Union and Lake Washington.
Departing from the Seattle Yacht Club with 10 guests on board, the R/V Sealth ventured through the Montlake Cut into Lake Washington and around Santa’s Ship. The R/V Sealth was decorated with bright lights, Christmas music played on the speakers, hot chocolate and snacks were served to guests, and the Captain, President, Bob Desautel and crew members showed their holiday spirit by wearing Santa hats. All that participated in the cruise had a wonderful time aboard the R/V Sealth.
Global Seas was proud to volunteer for such a heartwarming event during the 2010 Holiday Seasons.
